Dining Guide: Cornucopia
Like its name suggests, Cornucopia is a place of abundance. Two thriving downtown Eugene locations of the locally owned restaurant/pub delight diners with a daily bounty of delicious, distinctive comfort food and a wide selection of Northwest beer and wine.
After almost 25 years in business, Cornucopia continues to quench the thirst and satisfy the appetites of locals and travelers alike. The two locations Cornucopia Bar & Burgers at the corner of Fifth and Pearl, and Cornucopia Restaurant at 17th and Lincoln specialize in classic and modern pub fare and often dish out tempting new tastes, such as the just-introduced Gourmet Skillet Nachos.
Cornucopia is best-known for its flagship half-pound charbroiled burger with all-natural, grass-fed, humanely raised Oregon beef. Succulent variations, from the All American to the Aloha to the Big Boom Swiss & Shroom Burger, have earned Cornucopia the title of Best Burger Place for several years running in The Register-Guard Readers' Choice awards.
The menu also includes outstanding sandwiches made with house-roasted meats, along with pastas, rice bowls, pot pies, pizzas, chicken wings and more plus some of the freshest and most flavorful salads and soups in town. Beyond burgers, Cornucopia has earned recognition for Best Deli, Best Soups, Best Beer Garden and Best Happy Hour in local popular votes.
Speaking of happy hour, Cornucopia has two 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. and a late-night option from 10 p.m. to midnight and a new happy hour food menu.
All locations have full bars that serve cocktails, regularly rotating craft beers and ciders, as well as wine on tap.
Lunch, dinner and house-made desserts are offered daily, and both locations now also serve breakfast, featuring naturally nested eggs, thick bacon, house-baked bread and organic coffee. Cornucopia even delivers food and beer during lunch and dinner hours.
Cornucopia also provides plenty of incentive, beyond great food and drink, to sit down (indoors or out) and stay awhile. The 17th and Lincoln location has a large outdoor beer garden with Friday beer tastings, and Fifth and Pearl features nightly entertainment with live music, karaoke, trivia and bingo nights.
