If you’re looking to have a sit-down meal or just have a drink and watch the game, El Tapatio in Cottage Grove provides all that and more. The restaurant is suited to fit any occasion. “People like the family atmosphere and nice décor, but most of all, they like the consistency of the food and service,” said Margarita Guitron, the restaurant manager.
El Tapatio has an extensive menu that will appeal to most anyone who walks in the door. Guitron is adamant about providing excellent customer service and in return many people come back again. Guitron said that El Tapatio has many local returning customers, and returning customers from all over Oregon, Washington and California.
El Tapatio also does small and large scale events. On Fridays, they put on Karaoke nights, and on Saturdays they have a DJ come in and play music. El Tapatio is a popular place to celebrate holidays, like New Years and Cinco de Mayo. They also host private events. Guitron said that they’ve held weddings, class reunions, quinceaneras, birthday parties and more.
