Tasting Rooms: J. Scott Cellars

Like many local wineries, J. Scott Cellars relies on its delicious wine and fun events to entice people into the Tasting Room.  Unlike other wineries, the Tasting Room is located inside J. Scott Cellars working warehouse winery. The tasting room takes advantage of the situation and allows guests to be right inside the center of the action.  Wine barrels, a large wine press, as well as a variety of winemaking equipment shares space with visitors.  Industrial style tables serve as wine bars, a large chalk board displays a partial list of the extensive wine menu and comfortable seating is available both inside and outside on a plant lined patio.

Because it is a working winery, J. Scott Cellars Tasting Room is only open two days a week or by appointment. Open Fridays from 4-9 pm, the Tasting Room is host to local musicians and the occasional food truck.  Other than scheduled Special Events, Saturdays are relaxing days to enjoy your favorite bottle of wine with friends from 1 pm – Closing.  Gourmet pizza is always available to be delivered to your table from brewery neighbors, Viking Braggot Company.  Keep up to date with special event and Tasting Room details at www.jscottcellars.com.  Several big events per year are in collaboration with the WestSide Warehouse District.  Members of this group are J. Scott Cellars, Viking Braggot Company, Claim 52 Brewing, Noble Estate Urban and Crescendo Organic Spirits.  Together, they host a summer Block Party, spring Scavenger Hunt and winter Holiday Shopping Festival!

Scott Cellars is well worth the visit, serving “extraordinary and out of the ordinary wines” in what you might call an extraordinary and out of the ordinary Tasting Room.
